  • Bob Pepper's Farm, oil on canvas, 11 x 22 inches, copyright ©1999

I was reminded of these small paintings when a former student signed up for my Online Group Critiques. Cynthia Edmonds acquired these works while enrolled in my plein air classes over 20 years ago.

  • Kla Ha Ya Park, oil on paper, 21 x 28 inches, copyright ©2015

This painting was done from a viewpoint adjacent the VFW Hall on Main Street (First) in Snohomish. I like the way the river meanders through the farmland, and River Road itself is a pleasant drive.

  • Charlie & Buffy, oil on canvas, size unknown (approx. 40 x 30 inches), copyright ©1983

I was sent this image of a painting that I did in 1983, by a person who had recently been gifted the work by her mother. The painting is of Spokane artist Charlie Palmer and his dog Buffy, behind his house on Ash, north of Gonzaga University. I haven't seen the painting since it was sold, shortly after it was completed.

  • Lowell Riverfront Trail (Rotary Park), oil on panel, 16 x 20 inches, copyright ©2019

Spent a few sessions painting with students at Lowell Riverfront Trail, off of Lowell/Snohomish River Road. The sun was out and hot, and the city of Everett had finally trimmed the hedges that over the past couple of years had completely obscured the river.
