I painted it at Bob Pepper’s Farm, a place where I often went for plein air, either w/ Paul Havas, Peter Malarkey, Will Kitchen or sometimes with a class. The farm sits in an oxbow of the Snoqualmie River. If my memory serves, it was raining when I started this painting, and I had great difficulty getting the paint to cover, and keeping my palette from getting waterlogged. I’m not sure where the painting is now, it was sold at Davidson Galleries shortly after it was finished.
