Moon - 1993 William E. Elston: Fine Arts

Attending the session were the late Paul Havas, Christel Kratohvil, Tom Tanaka and Peter Malarkey. This was painted in oils on prepared w/c paper. It has been matted and framed under glass.

I've recently reacquired this painting, from my old painting instructor from my Fort Wright days, Charlie Palmer and his wife Nancy. The painting had been loaned to Nancy's parents. After the mother passed away, the father remarried. He too passed, and his new wife took the painting. The new wife drifted into dementia, and became obsessed with the idea that the painting would be stolen. She eventually passed away and her son took the painting. He offered to sell it back to Charlie and Nancy, but said that if they didn't buy it back, he planned to destroy it! Charlie and Nancy paid the ransom, and offered it back to me. I'm happy that I have it back.
