During that period some of the trees got haircuts, one tree was removed altogether, and I kept hearing at the back of my head Donovan's song "first there was a mountain, then there was no mountain, then there was."

I recently picked it up again, and I think that I've finally resolved most of the issues that troubled me before. I may fuss with it a little more, like a mother fusses over her baby's cowlick, but I'm mostly happy with it.

By the way, if you think you notice an homage to the shin hanga artists of Japan, you can pick up your prize at the door.
